Margaret Campbell from Titjikala talks about her favourite songs at Big Sing in the Desert
Margaret Campbell met Rachel Hore many years ago in Titjikala and talked about having a singing camp. This was the start of the Big Sing in the Desert story. Since then, Margaret has been a regular attendee at Big Sing in the Desert, and encourages others from Titjikala and other communities to come and share their songs. When asked which is her favourite song, Margaret said,
“I like to sing the hymns in our languages from our hymn book and to help teach others to sing them. I also love to learn songs in harmonies. Rachel is a good teacher. She has harmonies in her head.”
