Djinama Yilaga is an intergenerational First Nations choir, established in 2019 and led by renowned Walbunja/Ngarigo artist Cheryl Davison. Djinama Yilaga write and perform songs in the Dhurga language which was the predominantly spoken language of the Yuin Nation on the South Coast of NSW.
Big Sing Inc are excited to create an opportunity for Djinama Yilaga to attend Big Sing in the Desert in April 2023.
About Big Sing in the Desert
A unique four-day singing camp in the heart of Australia, Big Sing in the Desert is much loved by all who attend. Country, story, art, food, dance, film, campfires and conversation form the backdrop for wonderful musical connections and collaborations between First Nations and non-Indigenous singers.
For the past years, people from across Australia have become sponsors to support First Nations singers to attend Big Sing in the Desert.
