Listen to Halle sung by workshop participants at Big Sing in the Desert 2014, recorded at Ross River Homestead, Northern Territory.

It’s good to have some songs with only a few easy words to learn and a few parts. Everyone can learn a simple song quickly, whether it’s in their language or not, and then sing it out joyously, with confidence. In only a few minutes it can bring a group of singers together to sound like a choir.

Halle is that kind of song. With sounds and rhythm from the Caribbean, it also encourages us to dance. And if someone isn’t feeling too good, it’s a great song to sing to them to lift their spirits.
