Big Sing in the Desert 2019

Our ninth year. Ten Aboriginal singers from the East Coast join us, the Morning Star choir. Three Worimi join us from Forster NSW. Rachel tells the story of her great, great grandmother’s shipwreck, and Stephen and his girls are the ship. Tash joins the Big Sing team helping Liz. Lily Tjweri makes the biggest painting to sell. We learned how to massage in a line! The ladies give Morris a special painting. Kate teaches us to sing Punu Wara/Tall Trees, and Glory and sound really good. Morris teaches Shona Malanga and a song he wrote called Bird Song. We learn another new verse in Gathang for Bring Me Home from Rhonda and the Morning Star Choir.

We do a flash mob at Alice Springs airport because we can’t stop singing.
