Big Sing in the Desert 2012

Our second year. Singers from Docker River and Laramba join Areyonga, Ntaria, Titjikala, and Alice Springs communities. Amy Jean Harding joins us as our photographer and Penny Elsley as videographer. Joy Taylor joins us to record the songs. Marion and Lily teach Pitjai Inkaarturna for the first time. Everyone really enjoyed learning and singing this round. We go to sing in N’dala Gorge close to Ross River homestead and camp mum Suzy brings oranges for everybody. We sing Coming Round the Mountain and Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes in English and in Pitjantjatjara around the campfire and can’t stop laughing. We decide it’s so much fun we have to do it every year!
