Big Sing in the Desert 2018

Thursday 19 May to Sunday 22 May 2018

Our eighth year. Five Worimi people join us from Forster NSW, Aunty Jacinta Tobin joins us from The Blue Mountains, NSW and Aunty Donna Meehan joins us again bringing friends … and Angela. We learn Baba Waiya and another version of Head Shoulders Knees and Toes. It’s such a good song to help learn language. Daphne leads a funny dance about a car and something that happened in Germany. We have the biggest art sale we’ve ever had. It was really hot and everyone went swimming. Everyone is very excited about a big national exhibition about the Seven Sisters and about sharing the stories from across Australia. Rene Kulitja talks with us about it and then leads Seven Sisters dancing in the cool of the evening.

This is the last year for Inkaarta Rob to support us before he moves to Adelaide. This year he even stood still long enough to join in with some songs.
