Sing You
Listen to an excerpt of Sing You sung by participants at Big Sing in the Desert 2019, recorded at Ross River Homestead, Northern Territory.
Sing You was inspired by a love of this land and the importance of caring for the land and the rivers that bring and maintain life. It’s a song of hope. At Trephina Gorge, near Ross River Homestead where we gather for Big Sing in the Desert, we are reminded that those rivers run deep underground as well as on the surface.

I will sing you up my country
I will sing you up my land
I will walk across this island, I will sing you
I will sing to youYou are old and you are drying
Murray River down and dying
I will sing you up my country, I will sing you
I will sing to youOf a love that pulses in me
Of a love I can take with me
I will sing you up my country, I will sing you up
I’ll sing you up
I’ll sing you up
I’ll sing
